Jonathan McCoy, CFRE

Jon’s passion for design in the nonprofit space spans nearly 15 years of working alongside and within visionary organizations. After graduating with a bachelor of fine arts degree from Oklahoma State University, he had the honor of leading the art direction for his alma mater’s billion dollar Branding Success campaign – the largest and most successful fundraising effort in Oklahoma history. Following this formative experience he started We are for Good (formerly Outbox) to serve a growing client base of more than 25 visionary nonprofit organizations in branding, marketing and fundraising consulting capacities. Jon’s design work has received numerous industry awards and he was selected to collaborate on a national product line with West Elm.
Most recently, Jon served for nearly a decade as Director of Annual Giving for INTEGRIS Foundation in Oklahoma City where he and Becky (meet her below!) designed and launched their organization’s first employee giving campaign: YOU&I. This campaign experienced 10x growth - starting with fewer than 310 donors to now more than 3,500 annually and has raised millions of dollars along the way. The campaign’s success led for opportunities to share their unique fundraising approach and framework via online webinars, industry conferences and live events. After meeting so many development leaders across the country, they saw the need for an immersive training for fundraisers who want grow their own culture of giving at their organization. Enter the Employee Giving Campaign Masterclass: an online bootcamp of sorts where Jon and Becky share a comprehensive framework for creating, launching and scaling a best-in-class employee giving program. They’ve now trained students from healthcare systems across the US and Canada.
Jon loves sharing life with his wife Candice and two sets of twins - ages 5 and 8. He enjoys iced coffee year-round, international travel with family and slowly but surely renovating their 1927 American Foursquare.

Hi there. I’m Becky. I’m glad to [virtually] meet you. I have most recently served as a Leadership Gifts Officer at Oklahoma City’s largest nonprofit healthcare organization, INTEGRIS Health. Prior to joining the INTEGRIS Foundation, I had the great joy of serving as director of marketing and communications for the Oklahoma State University Foundation where my team spearheaded philanthropic marketing efforts, particularly for the launch of the University’s Branding Success $1 billion comprehensive campaign. I earned my public relations degree from OSU in 2002 (shout-out to those who sheepishly run toward writing and away from math!) and secured my public relations accreditation in 2007. In the evenings, it’s your stories that awaken my desire to fuel more good into the world through We are for Good.
There are two things I value in this business above all else: the power of words and the personal connections among each of us. I believe both are critical to stitching together the fabric of every powerful experience leading to giving. When combining the right tenor, pacing, word choice and a courageous storyteller, I believe a story can unfold to move the hearts and minds of a large population who want to do good. This is transformational philanthropy at its finest, and it’s my passion to set it in motion.
When I’m not writing or emoting, you can probably find me on a run, binge-watching Downton Abbey, eating cheese fries with my husband and chasing after my two amazing daughters.

Hi I’m Julie! I’m so happy you’re here. I am honored to serve as the Content and Production Manager (and registered hype girl) here at We are for Good. I wasn’t always sure what to say when someone would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up, but I always knew I wanted to help people. It didn’t take long for the world of philanthropy to capture my heart in college, and I spent my time at the University of Oklahoma studying Communication and Nonprofit Organizational Studies. I was humbled to learn from some of the best in the industry at Make-A-Wish and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through incredible internships, and quickly discovered the value of mentorship and championing each other towards a greater good - no matter the mission. After college, I began my career at INTEGRIS Foundation, where I met Jon and Becky and was able to serve as the Donor Relations Specialist for the largest nonprofit healthcare system in the state of Oklahoma.
To my young professional friends - I, like you, often felt intimidated by the lofty fundraising goals and projects in front of me. My dream is that We are for Good will be a space to interact with and learn from some of the best in the industry, and feel supported and celebrated all along the way.
When I’m not at work you can find me at the best local brunch and coffee shops, traveling with my friends and family, reading cheesy self-help books, or losing my voice at OU football games. I can’t wait to share your stories, celebrate your accomplishments, and join you in bringing more goodness into the world. *fist bump*
